National Director, Business Intelligence, Program, Operations, and Leadership Development (POLD) provides leadership to the Business Intelligence (BI) Team in identifying and developing business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs that are necessary for the POLD department to support and sustain its operational goals. The National Director, BI builds an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues that can be supported by data management tools, processes, and systems. Provides leadership and serves on interdepartmental cross-functional teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. The National Director BI is responsible for providing data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensures that the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems. The National Director BI must have an in-depth understanding of the business environment and an interest in going beyond the obvious, delving into the source, the definition, philosophy, and foundational roots of a data element in order to create information.
Provides leadership and develops independent initiatives in facilitating information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings to all levels of data management for the POLD Department.
Determines business requirements, priorities, related to the BI and data warehouse strategy. This includes individual development and collaboration with other staff to design and document dashboards, alerts, and reports.
Educate and train staff to use data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration.
Project / Work Management and Leadership
Provides oversight and leadership of all data collection and reporting methods utilized in the POLD department to ensure integration and alignment with key systems and department objectives.
Directs, organizes, and leads BI workstream projects in the implementation and use of BI software tools and systems, including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of all BI data solutions.
Develops and provides provide periodic data reports to the COO, POLD staff in general, and other senior leaders on the execution of all critical initiatives.
Serves as the primary liaison for POLD with other BGCA departments related to data collection and reporting.
Provides leadership and independent service on highly complex, cross- functional, and enterprise business intelligence data solutions.
Diagnoses problems using formal problem-solving tools and techniques from multiple angles and probes underlying issues to generate multiple potential solutions. Proactively anticipates and prevents data system related conflicts.
Conducts analyses of functional business processes related to data management and participates in the development of business cases in the support of process changes.
Business Requirements & Analysis
Evaluates internal and external customers’ data report needs, feasibility, and abilities in order to provide appropriate solutions.
Identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the enterprise wide BI systems.
Describes future scenarios and related opportunities. Plans potential responses involving resource holders, peers, processes, and technology.
Advises Senior Leadership on how BI (processes, practices and technologies) can play a critical role in improving business management and optimization.
Explores the data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends.
Leads and/or provides direction for the planning, designing, and execution of user testing efforts of POLD sponsored information systems.
Oversees the implementation (i.e., testing, issues resolution) of new systems or modifications.
Information Quality Assurance
Ensures quality metrics are documented and tracked.
Reviews customer business requirements, recommending technological solutions that can be integrated and deployed in the environment.
Approves selection of tools, frameworks and mechanisms for data analytics.
Aligns BI technologies with strategic initiatives.
Stays abreast of BI products/tools and of business strategies and direction.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, Business Administration or specialized training/certification. Or equivalent work experience.
7 or more year of Business Analysis or related technical experience years’ experience in senior project management, strategy, communications, and cross-functional operations
Exceptional abilities in data analysis; managing online and offline databases, consultation and diagnosis.
Demonstrated highly advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of office products; particularly Excel.
