    Boys & Girls Clubs of America is seeking a Manager, Email Marketing & Automation who will be responsible for overseeing all email marketing initiatives and strategy for the organization in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Specifically, he/she will work closely with functional leaders and agency partners to identify, develop and deploy campaigns that serve to increase individual donations, funnel more parents and families to local Clubs, support advocacy efforts, increase brand understanding, and communicate to the movement (fellow national staff and local Club staff). This role is part email marketer, part Marketing Cloud administrator, and part technical project manager.

     

    He/she will also be responsible for configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of Marketing Cloud and Visualforce donation forms.  As well as evaluating, scoping and developing new marketing automation workflows or journeys. The ideal candidate will have previous experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget). The position is based in Atlanta, GA.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Job Functions:

    • Serve as primary system administrator for our Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment, including three business units and custom preference center
    • Responsible for initiating, planning, executing (self or with partner agency), tracking, and measuring the success of email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (e.g. Welcome email, one-offs, triggers, and newsletters)
    • Work with key stakeholders, including the Resource Development and Internal Communications teams, to define segments and desired user journeys, and then guide, design and execute campaigns that serve to meet shared goals and objectives
    • Work closely with team members to understand campaign objectives and whiteboard campaign structures and user journeys
    • Create benchmarks and track performance across email metrics (e.g. Open, Click, Opt out, etc.) and conversion metrics
    • Develop a strategy to grow our email subscriber base while maintaining list health and performance
    • Maintain a strong technical understanding of how Salesforce Marketing Cloud interacts with our Salesforce instance. This includes a custom preference center with role and list preferences, campaigns, accounts, contacts, segmenting, reporting, and data flow via the connector.
    • Manage data feeds and other integrations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Create and manage the user experience of web/donation forms (using Visualforce or CloudPages) including best practice design, proper function, submission success, and tracking
    • Work to establish suitable business processes and rules to support administrative, development and change management activities
    • Maintain email best practices to share with stakeholders across the organization

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud). This includes technical working knowledge of Content Builder, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Web Studio, AmpScript and the Visualforce framework.
    • Must understand data import/export, configuration of data extensions, Salesforce integration, and writing SQL for queries related to segmentation/automation
    • Able to develop or manipulate responsive email templates and forms using HTML, CSS, Javascript and AmpScript from concept to execution
    • Able to leverage the aforementioned platforms’ native analytics tools, as well as Google Analytics, in order to identify (and then act on) opportunities to improve open, click, and campaign-specific metrics (e.g. via A/B testing)
    • Knowledge of email marketing best practices (design, layout, content, etc).
    • Understanding of email fundamentals: CAN-SPAM, segmentation, list/data extension management, KPIs, etc.
    • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant a plus

     

    Environmental and Working Conditions

    Normal internal office environment.  Travel estimated at 15% (can be up to 3-4 days or more in a month, including weekends, depending upon scheduling requirements).  The individual selected for this position must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to navigate areas of the country or abroad by using a map or other direction methods.  Ability to travel by car, airplane or other modes of transportation required.
