JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Youth Development Learning Development will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of competency-based trainings and related resources that build capacity in youth development professionals to support whole-child development. This includes the planning and development of trainings and resources related to foundational positive youth development and BGCA-specific programs and initiatives that can be deployed to drive scale and further support the decentralization of training across the Movement.
This role will work within and across departments to support alignment with BGCA priorities and policies, ensure consistency across other schools in Spillett Leadership University (BGCA’s comprehensive training site), and maximize impact.
The Director will also support the field in their professional learning and development by providing consultations to Club staff and supporting Clubs to develop and implement learning strategies and capacity-building approaches to increase their impact and drive youth outcomes.
The role will be critical in supporting BGCA’s program quality priorities in expanding a body of professional learning and development tools that builds the capacity of adults to support the knowledge, skill, and behaviors needed for the successful implementation of national programs, activities and experiences that support overall youth development.
