    Under the supervision of the National Vice President, Foundation Relations, the Resource Development Coordinator is responsible for specific operating and expanded account management functions, database administration, project management and administrative tasks supporting the Foundation Relations team in Resource Development.   



    • Provide general administrative support to the Foundation team, including scheduling meetings and travel, preparing documents & presentations, expense reports, filing, scanning, faxing, and photocopying.
    • Provide fundraising database management on behalf of the Foundations team, including gift entry, proposal details and tracking, and relationship updates.
    • Create and run reports for weekly staff meetings and as needed. Serve as lead staff on database upgrade/conversion projects on behalf of the Foundation Relations team.
    • Complete transmittals within two business days of request or receipt of gift/pledge.
    • Assist with developing budgets for grants and work with Finance to monitor spending and expenses.
    • Assist in creating, formatting, and submitting proposals.
    • Along with the Foundation Team members, manage relationships with foundation partners of high strategic and financial value. 
    • Serve as internal account liaison to optimize quality of service, partner ROI, and customer satisfaction; primary post-sales contact who operates in close alignment with staff primary to ensure high renewal rates and in identifying new revenue opportunities to maximize partnerships.
    • Conduct ongoing analysis and track performance of partner initiatives.
    • Oversee administration of applicable pass through grants, monitor financial performance and execution of contracted deliverables. Maintain a calendar of all Foundation Team report deadlines.
    • Gather materials, content and financial information for reports and provide to the Foundation fundraiser one month before due date.  Monitor status of reports to ensure they are submitted on time. 
    • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities of assigned accounts and provide relevant reports and information to the Foundation Team.
    • Attend (when needed) and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings to aid business development.
    • Plan and lead quarterly account review sessions to ensure spending is on target and deliverables are being met.
    • Contribute to the strategy development of Foundation team accounts.
    • Serve as a contact for any account issues; accountable for ensuring resolution; prompt response to internal and external customer needs is paramount.
    • Assist the primary RD Foundation staff with assigned accounts in meeting the annual fundraising goal; contribute, where possible, to meeting the annual fundraising goal.
    • Participate in national conferences and collaborations with strategic third parties which further BGCA’s mission, as assigned by members of the Foundation Team


    • Assist with other projects as assigned by the National VP, Foundation Relations.
    • Demonstrate BGCA mission driven values of integrity, excellence and inclusion and integrate into work environment and ways of work.
    • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures as described in BGCA's Employee Handbook, Ethics Policy and elsewhere.

    SUPERVISION EXERCISED No direct Reports. May monitor and coordinate the work of temporary employees and student interns



    • Bachelor’s degree or education/experience equivalency preferred.
    • Minimum of three years project management, administrative/office support experience, preferably in a development office.
    • Experience supporting staff that travel a significant amount of the time and do not work in one central location.


    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and fundraising database management.
    • Strong financial acumen.
    • Intermediate skills in PowerPoint with willingness to learn more.
    • Exceptional accuracy, grammar and proofreading skills; professional, courteous telephone manners and strong customer service mentality; strong organizational and office management skills; demonstrated high standards of ethics and integrity; demonstrated ability to multi-task; and ability to work with others as part of a team effort.
    • Ability to support a team that works in several locations across the country.
    • Ability to manage diverse, simultaneous tasks with competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high impact office environment.
    • Ability to prioritize, negotiate and reinforce reasonable deadlines with all levels of staff across multiple departments.
    • Complete projects by the assigned deadline.
    • Provide excellent internal and external customer service

    High energy level, comfort level with a fast paced and rapidly changing environment, self-motivated, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities, good reasoning abilities, sound judgment and the ability to work under time pressures. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting for more than six hours a day and other physical requirements required performing the essential functions of this position.
