    Job Summary

    The Talent Acquisition Specialist is primarily responsible of ensuring the quality selection and acquisition of top talent to meet BGCA’s organizational requirements. They will promote and achieve a “best in class” talent acquisition function, and will serve as a strategic partner to HR and other cross-functional business leader to ensure recruiting and sourcing strategies consistently attract and retain top talent in the market, at all levels.


    Essential Functions

    • Facilitate the full recruitment life cycle.
    • Work collaboratively with hiring managers by executing the in-take process to understand organization objectives, scope of the role and candidate requirements for open positions.  Determine advertising/sourcing strategy, screening questions, interview team, and other process details.
    • Proactive sourcing of candidates using various sourcing methods such as social media/data mining techniques to identify candidates and fill open positions in a timely manner.
    • Screen candidates by conducting interviews by using phone, in-person and web-based interview methods in order to effectively and efficiently qualify each candidate.
    • Guide and coach hiring managers through the recruitment and interview process.
    • Identify and recommend candidates to hiring managers for interviews.
    • Manage the pre-employment through first-day onboarding process for job candidates and new hires. This includes, but is not limited to confirming a formal application, background and reference checks, required new hire paperwork (forms, I-9 verification, etc.) and weekly HR Orientation.
    • Provide superior customer service to candidates and internal & external customers throughout the recruitment process; ensure all verbal and written communications are accurate, clear, concise and professional.
    • Track and use key metrics to drive continuous improvements regarding candidate sourcing, recruitment decisions and the quality of hires.
    • Build individual networks and relationships that help support a top talent acquisition pool of candidates.
    • Ensure market information or trends identified through applications, phone screens and other conversations and methods are brought to HR leaderships’ attention for potential course correction, ensuring we are able to attract and hire top talent.
    • Manage BGCA’s internship program including the identification of key schools for internship postings, and participation in activities to support hiring objectives.
    • Manage BGCA’s temporary staffing program and related processes.
    • Assist with additional projects or work as requested by the supervisor, Senior Vice President, Human Resources or Director, Talent Management.
    • Demonstrate BGCA mission driven values of integrity, excellence and inclusion and integrate into work environment and ways of work.

    • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures as described in BGCA’s Employee Handbook, Ethics Policy and elsewhere

    Supervision Exercised

    • No direct reports. May monitor and coordinate the work of temporary employees and student interns.


    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in business/human resources or equivalent education/experience preferred.
    • Stellar record of 2+ years’ experience in high-volume recruiting or sourcing; experience within agency and/or corporate talent acquisition space preferred
    • Ability to target and identify talent needed at all levels within organization/company.
    • Demonstrated success with sourcing passive candidates and working with a variety of sources/social media.
    • Ability to create meaningful metrics as a tool for decision making, analyzing and monitoring progress and communicating results.
    • Ability to engage, influence and persuade leaders/supervisors at all levels and effective interpersonal communication skills.
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
    • Quick, resourceful problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
    • Experience with interviewing, assessment and negotiation while maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive data
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems.
