LOCATION- 1275 Peachtree Street Atlanta, GA

WORK MODEL- Hybrid

SCHEDULE- 15 to 20 hours per week from May 20, 2024 through August 9, 2024. There is some flexibility in arranging the schedule, both in hours worked and length of internship. 

 

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, Sports, Entertainment, Alumni & Community Affairs, the SEACA intern, is responsible for assisting the department with social media analytics reporting. This position will assist with any special initiatives relating to Club appearances, marketing, tracking etc., relative to, entertainment/celebrity and alumni as assigned by the SEACA team.

Responsibilities

  •  Collect, track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on social media traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes
  • Collaborate with other departments to gain knowledge on how to improve SEACA’s social media metrics reporting
  •  Create Sports, Entertainment, Alumni and Business Affairs Recap Handbook using PowerPoint
  •  Perform other duties as assigned by the National VP of Business & Community Affairs
  •  Demonstrate BGCA mission-driven values of integrity, excellence and inclusion and integrate into work environment and ways of work.
  •  Adhere to organizational policies and procedures as described in BGCA’s Employee Handbook, Ethics Policy and elsewhere.

 

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be an incoming sophomore, junior or senior (undergraduate programs) or graduate student pursuing a degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or business.

  • Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as demonstrate proper telephone etiquette; detail-oriented; demonstrate high standards of ethics, integrity and eagerness to learn; and have an interest in working on special events for a non-profit organization. Intermediate Microsoft Word (including mail merge), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher skills are necessary. Advanced social media skills preferred.
