In this pivotal role, you'll lead the charge in meeting and exceeding fundraising goals for BGCA's flagship national and regional events, including the , National and Regional Conferences, Alumni Hall of Fame, and the Keystone Conference.

 

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Fundraising Events, you will spearhead strategies that drive revenue for these marquee events by engaging corporate partners, donors, and volunteer leaders. You’ll collaborate across multiple teams and departments to create opportunities for companies to align their brand with BGCA’s powerful mission. As the driving force behind conference-related fundraising efforts, your success will shape the future of these transformative events.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

 

Revenue Generation

  • Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to meet a $2M revenue target from 3-5 national conferences and events.
  • Identify and cultivate new corporate partnerships through a blend of research, cold calling, and stewardship, securing between $1M–$5M in funding from corporate sponsors and exhibit events.
  • Leverage your knowledge of corporate giving trends and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders to fuel BGCA’s event portfolio.
  • Collaborate with high-level volunteers, committee members, and corporate partners, motivating and guiding them to meet revenue goals.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service to corporate sponsors by acting as their go-to contact, resolving issues promptly, and providing ongoing updates on performance and outcomes.

 Partnership Activation & Collaboration

  • Work alongside the Corporate & Cause Partnerships team to ensure sponsor benefits are fulfilled and opportunities for lead generation are maximized.
  • Collaborate with the Events Team to manage logistics and deliver flawless execution for each national event, ensuring that every detail aligns with sponsor expectations.
  • Develop and present compelling presentations, decks, and customized proposals that highlight the value of BGCA’s conferences and events to potential sponsors.

 Reporting & Strategy

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective donors and sponsors, ensuring all activities are tracked in Salesforce.
  • Regularly update internal teams with gap-to-goal strategies, weekly progress reports, and performance data to ensure alignment and transparency across departments.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) paired with at least 5+ years of experience successfully driving corporate sponsorships for conferences and events.
  • Proven ability to lead high-impact fundraising initiatives and collaborate with volunteer Boards and committees to achieve significant revenue goals.
  • High-yield committee fundraising experience and a track record of closing significant corporate deals at a national level.
  • Strong project management skills, the ability to think strategically, and a deep understanding of how corporate partners can enhance and benefit from event sponsorships.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and other CRM tools, ensuring meticulous tracking of fundraising activities and partner engagement.
  • A willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time for national events and meetings.
