The Director of Executive Leadership Development plays a pivotal role in achieving this mission by elevating the leadership capacity of executive professionals within the Boys & Girls Clubs enterprise. Reporting to the National Director of Leadership Development, this role is a unique opportunity to design transformative programs that amplify the impact of our executive leaders on their organizations and communities.This hybrid role requires employees to work on-site at the National Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, for two days each week and to reside within a commutable distance to the office.

Responsibilities

 

You will drive initiatives that: 

  • Strengthen leadership within our network of local Club executives. 
  • Foster professional growth to advance the impact of our mission. 
  • Build pathways for leaders to innovate, collaborate, and excel. 

Your work will directly contribute to the success of Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation, equipping leaders to tackle challenges and create positive change for the youth and communities we serve. 

 

What You’ll Do 

Develop Strategy 

  • Design and execute leadership development strategies aligned with BGCA’s goals and competencies. 
  • Partner with internal teams and external experts to create cutting-edge programming. 
  • Monitor outcomes and refine initiatives for continuous improvement. 

Develop Talent 

  • Lead executive leadership programs, from planning and recruitment to facilitation and evaluation. 
  • Build a structured mentoring strategy and onboarding process for new leaders. 
  • Create customized learning opportunities using innovative, multi-modal approaches. 

Build Organizational Capacity 

  • Train and equip internal BGCA staff to deliver impactful leadership development initiatives. 
  • Collaborate on regional and national conferences to integrate leadership priorities. 

Drive Operational Excellence 

  • Market leadership initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Develop systems to measure program impact and inform strategy. 

Qualifications

The desired applicant is someone who:

  • Balances Strategy and Execution: You have a proven track record in leadership development, including curriculum design and facilitation. 
  • Exhibits Business Acumen: You align leadership initiatives with organizational goals to achieve measurable impact. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of experience in organizational or leadership development, with at least five years in executive training and curriculum design. 
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and support executive leaders. 
  • Experience in facilitating and leading large-scale development initiatives. 
  • Experience delivering successful outcomes while maintaining 50% travel schedule.  

Preferred Skills: 

  • Expertise in mentoring and onboarding strategies. 
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in leadership development. 
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
