LOCATION: Atlanta, Ga (Hybrid- In office Tuesdays and Wedensdays)

TIME COMMITMENT: June 3rd-Aug 6th 2025 (30-40hrs/week)

COMPENSATION: $17/hr.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs and Innovation, the Programs and Innovation Intern will support the Youth Development department including research, program development, and other core team responsibilities related to the organization and its mission. Specific responsibilities will include: 

 

  1. Co-develop the Tween Impact Toolkit through providing foundational research, analytical review of framework and content, gap analysis for BGCA resources, and project management of the resource. 
  2. Co-develop DIY STEM Activity Guides for youth ages 6-9 and 10-12. 
  3. Support the Arts Activation National Keystone Conference and supporting other work as assigned.  

Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • Currently enrolled at an undergraduate 2- or 4-year college/university or equivalent work experience 
  • Basic understanding and interest in Youth Development and Boys & Girls Clubs.  
  • Demonstrated interest in developing research and writing skills, project management experience, and supporting youth across the country.  

 

Skill-set 

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, etc.) 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including proofreading, copy editing, writing, and oral communication skills 
  • An ability to manage time appropriately 
  • Demonstrated professionalism and maturity and a tolerance for rapid pace and shifting assignments and priorities 
  • Flexibility, good judgement, attention to detail 
  • A demonstrated commitment and interest in the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of America 
  • An ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures as described in BGCA's Intern Policy, Ethics Policy and elsewhere.
