The Impact of the Role
As the Senior Specialist, Corporate Partnerships & Business Development (SSCP&BD), you will play a crucial role in supporting the business development team by managing key operational functions and project work that enhances the organization’s partnerships and revenue generation. This position directly contributes to BGCA’s ability to sustain and grow vital partnerships, ensuring we can continue to support our mission and expand our reach to more communities. Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Corporate Partnerships & Business Development Team in strategic planning and the management of current partnerships, ensuring the renewals process and cultivating new prospects.
  • Oversee the gift approval process, revenue tracking, and reporting. Act as the subject matter expert for utilizing NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack).
  • Manage BD Team onboarding, coordinate team meetings, training sessions, and lunch-and-learns.
  • Provide operational and research support for lead generation in the Northeast and Midwest regions, helping grow our partner pipeline.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the National Conference Committee and a committee member for the Power of Partnerships Summit.
  • Manage cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering outcomes for corporate partners.

Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • You have 2-4 years of experience in non-profit development, including project management, prospect research, and grant writing.
  • You are highly organized with strong time management skills, able to think strategically and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a knack for building relationships with a wide ranging teams and stakeholders.
  • You have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel), digital tools like Canva, and experience using data management systems such as  Salesforce/ NPSP is a plus.
  • You are a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to expand your skills in business development.
  • You understand that business travel up to 10% is part of this role. It may include the possibility of weekend trips for conferences and events. 
  • You thrive in a hybrid work arrangement  where you are in office two days per week and are within a commutable distance to the office. Approx: 50 miles.
