LOCATION: Atlanta, Ga (Hybrid- In office Tuesdays and Wedensdays)

TIME COMMITMENT: June 3rd-Aug 6th 2025 (30-40hrs/week)

COMPENSATION: $17/hr.

 

JOB SUMMARY
The Business Operations intern will be primarily responsible for supporting a variety of department projects in Atlanta, GA this summer.

In close collaboration with Business Operations team, the intern will provide support with various projects and processes, fulfill reporting requests, organization of records, assisting with director requests, and team meetings with directors.

  • How to support and manage multiple clients (Field Operations partners) through organization and efficiency
  • The ability to partner with multiple verticals to provide a service to end users (Clubs and Club professionals)
  • How to effectively communicate operations topics to non-operations teammates
  • How to balance competing priorities and navigate ambiguity
  • How to work with senior leadership
  • How to collaborate with a team

Responsibilities

 Project Objective

  • Obtain exposure to nonprofit operations through collaboration with Business Operations and Operations and Alignment vertical
  • Improve verbal and written communication skills regarding accounting topics.
  • Navigate and learn to troubleshoot online databases, various software, and team-specific excel tools. 

Project Task

  • Support Business Operations with Area Council event registration builds and reporting this summer.
  • Support Youth of the Year program with Regional Event fulfillment
  • Navigate and utilize various systems to provide reporting updates and forecasting for upcoming events
  • Execute tasks within a centralized intake system for deliverable management within Field Operations
  • Complete other assignments as assigned and supported by Business Operations

Qualifications

Education/Major:

Pursuing a business administration degree or equivalent.

Skills:

Applicants should demonstrate interest in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and an operations centric career. Experience using Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel. A track record of reliability, strong teamwork, and attention to detail. Excellent analytic, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage time appropriately
