LOCATION: This position is on-site, office-based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid model - 3 days remote / 2 days in office- Tuesday & Wednesday)

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Marketing Partnership will be responsible for leading strategic integrated marketing and communications campaigns that elevate the critical work taking place at Clubs nationwide and reinforce the brand as a leading advocate for youth. You will lead the annual marketing campaign for an identified area of youth development that advances brand equity, recognizes key donors, and garners support from key audiences. This includes leading partnership marketing plans for a portfolio of corporate and foundation supporters that represent top brands and philanthropic organizations in the country. This position enables you to combine your skills as a top-notch and well-rounded expert marketing and communications professional, strong leadership skills interfacing with executives at all levels at global powerhouse brands, and ability to ideate and build innovative campaigns that forge new ground. You will be part of a team that is advancing public interest on critical issues facing youth to create real impact for kids in communities nationwide. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Integrated Marketing & Communications

  • Leads annual integrated marketing and communications campaign that positions the brand’s leadership on an identified platform/area of youth development, to increase brand equity and garner support for our mission.  
  • Serves as marketing & communications leader on identified platform/area of youth development, identifying opportunities to advance our position on the topic, integrate with other brand priorities and innovate how we’re leveraging our position in the market  
  • Serves as campaign lead within the integrated marketing team, providing direction and oversight to internal teams, subject matter experts, external partners, agencies and vendors to deliver effective and measurable results on-time and on-budget 
  • Provides expert integrated marketing counsel and guidance to internal and external stakeholders  
  • Leverages broad expertise in all marcomm areas to meet campaign objectives, including but not limited to public relations, events, social media, digital marketing, storytelling and/content development, paid media/advertising; role includes both leading execution of activities and managing internal and external partners/vendors to be responsible for execution of activities (as determined by project scope) 
  • Leads efforts to scale and localize marketing activities for successful implementation within a federated model  
  • Ensures brand consistency and messaging in all external-facing marketing and communications forums 
  • Stays current on data, trends, competitive landscape and standard methodologies related to marketing communications and youth development 

Partnership Marketing 

  • Leads partnership marketing for a portfolio of the organization’s top corporate and foundation sponsors, delivering mutually beneficial marketing plans that amplify the impact created by the partnership   
  • Leads recognition plans for partners within annual marketing campaigns that garners visibility and amplifies impact 
  • Ensures fulfillment of identified sponsorship contracts and executes deliverables with excellence to ensure continued and increased support for mission  
  • Identifies and acts upon opportunities to elevate and activate partnerships to deliver greater value to the brand and sponsorships 
  • Serves as primary marketing contact for identified partnership, representing the brand and mission and liaising with executives at all levels 
  • Leads marketing for fundraising and development efforts to secure new partnerships and renew relationships within identified portfolio 
  • Responsible for marketing reporting for assigned corporate partnerships

  • Effectively collaborates with internal and external stakeholders such as BGCA executives and staff, Club personnel and youth, corporate partners, strategic alliances and others 
  • Effectively directs available resources and budgets to maximize return on investment 
  • Leads through ambiguous and/or complex situations with a focus on accomplishing the end-result, proactively seeking information and collaboration needed to be effective 
  • Works autonomously (self-starter), with a strong sense of voice and the experience to back up strategic viewpoints, instill confidence and garner buy-in 
  • Demonstrates BGCA mission-driven values of integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and excellence  
  • Participates in additional projects and initiatives as assigned 
  • Adheres to organizational policies and procedures as described in BGCA’s Employee Handbook, Ethics Policy and elsewhere 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

  • Expected to lead bodies of work with integrated teams (social, digital, creative, content, brand, agencies and sponsors) – this would require comfort and experience managing up, down and across the organization; ability to lead via influence in a collaborative and respectful manner focused on the shared goal 
  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.  

SUPERVISION EXERCISED

  • No direct Reports. May monitor and coordinate the work of temporary employees and student interns

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations and/or similar degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience 
  • Experience leading accounts within an agency setting considered a plus 
  • Proven experience leading integrated marketing plans and producing high quality execution, with demonstrated expertise in campaigns that leverage a variety of disciplines (i.e. public relations, digital marketing, content & storytelling, advertising, brand, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and see them through to execution   
  • Service-oriented mind-set with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Consistent track record for leading projects through complex issues and ambiguous situations among various stakeholders, with an eye toward the end result 
  • Ability to lead integrated internal and external teams effectively through influence to deliver collaborative work against a shared goal 
  • Demonstrated expertise handing multiple projects, timelines and budgets while maintaining a commitment to excellent, detail-oriented work  
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams through influence 
  • Advanced capabilities of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Approximately 25% travel  
  • The individual selected for this position must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to navigate areas of the country by using electric direction methods. 
  • Ability to travel by car, airplane or other modes of transportation required.
