Responsibilities

About the Role
As Director of Product, you will lead the product vision and execution across a portfolio of technology-based business capabilities serving BGCA and our national Movement. You will oversee a dynamic team and work cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners to bring scalable, user-centered solutions to life, solutions that enable youth-serving professionals to do their best work every day.

This is a unique opportunity to combine product strategy, team leadership, and mission-driven innovation at scale. Your work will directly support the systems, tools, and digital experiences that power our organization and movement, from national staff to front-line Club professionals.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead with purpose and deliver with precision across four key areas:

Strategy & Planning

  • Define product strategies and roadmaps aligned with BGCA’s broader technology and data strategy.

  • Lead planning efforts in collaboration with internal departments, Movement stakeholders, and external vendors.

  • Manage a product portfolio across the full lifecycle: scoping, prioritization, development, and adoption.

  • Stay attuned to emerging technologies and trends, advising on feasibility and value.

  • Guide technology RFPs tied to enterprise-level operations and service delivery.

Service Delivery & Execution

  • Apply Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to ensure efficient, iterative development.

  • Manage internal and consultant teams to deliver high-impact products and services.

  • Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, cost-effective, and supportable prior to launch.

  • Build service-level metrics, facilitate regular service reviews, and promote strong governance practices.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead a cross-functional product team and collaborate with business owners to translate needs into actionable product strategies.

  • Cultivate a culture of learning, curiosity, and collaboration within your team and across the organization.

  • Serve as a technology ambassador, helping BGCA leaders become better owners and consumers of digital products.

Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure all products and systems align with BGCA’s architecture, security, and compliance standards.

  • Maintain resource libraries and documentation to support application operations.

  • Respond to and resolve technical incidents swiftly while implementing preventative measures.

Who You Are

A strategic thinker and servant leader who blends business acumen with technical fluency. You're energized by complex challenges, passionate about building products that matter, and skilled at uniting teams around a common goal.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in IT, product management, or digital delivery.

  • Demonstrated experience managing software products and services across the full lifecycle.

  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum, DevOps practices, and change management.

  • Experience leading product delivery within a multi-site, multi-vendor environment.

  • Strong background in SaaS platforms (Salesforce expertise a plus).

  • Ability to translate business needs into product requirements and technical strategy.

  • A strong customer-service and user-centered mindset.

  • Experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.

Bonus Points For:

  • Nonprofit or mission-driven sector experience

  • Familiarity with the Boys & Girls Club Movement

  • Experience working with RFPs and vendor evaluations
