JOB SUMMARY
The Director Development, Special Events is responsible for successfully achieving revenue goals for Boys & Girls Clubs of America focusing on signature events such as Youth of the Year, President’s Golf Series, Summit for America’s Youth, based out of the Southwest Region. This position will lead the overall development of event fundraising strategy and engage, manage and motivate high-level volunteers and donors, to facilitate their successful participation in achieving revenue goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Generation
-Develop, implement, and assure the success of fundraising goals for events.
- Research, identify and acquire new companies and donor relationships through cultivation. stewardship and deepened engagement with BGCA through its signature events (Youth of the Year, President’s Golf Series, Summit for America’s Youth).
Committee Development & Engagement
-Strong focus on recruiting new volunteers to event committees that are diverse and representative of the region.
- Orient, manage and steward leadership committees comprised of high-level community volunteers and corporate leaders to ensure event fundraising success.
