LOCATION: This position is on-site, office-based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid model - 3 days remote / 2 days in office- Tuesday & Wednesday)

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Partnership Marketing manages integrated marketing for partners headquartered in assigned region. It serves on the regional partnerships team, bringing a #OneTeam approach that contributes to regional and total revenue targets through stewardship of existing partners and successful solicitation of new partners. The position brings experience in integrated marketing, leveraging PR, digital, events and content and marrying the goals of the partner and our organization to achieve mutually beneficial objectives.

 

The partnership marketing team is comprised of top-notch and well-rounded expert marketing and communications professionals, strong leaders experienced at interfacing with executives at all levels at global powerhouse brands, and passionate innovators who ideate and build campaigns that forge new ground. This position is part of a team that is advancing public interest on critical issues facing youth to create real impact for kids in communities nationwide

Responsibilities

Deliver partnership marketing for regional portfolio of corporate & foundation sponsors

  • Deliver partnership marketing for partners headquartered in assigned region, representing $10M+ portfolio of partnerships with top brands
  • Serve as marketing point for assigned partnerships and provide support across the regional portfolio
  • Effectively integrate BGCA and partner goals to execute mutually beneficial co-branded marketing plans
  • Lead national marketing campaigns and activations that leverage an integrated approach, including public relations, events, social and digital, content development, advocacy, cause marketing and advertising
  • Deliver marketing counsel that builds confidence and trust with partner contacts, vendors and teams
  • Produce high-impact partnership marketing that elevates the value proposition for corporate investment in our mission, reinforces Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s leadership and attracts new supporters
  • Serve as a passionate champion of the Boys & Girls Clubs brand and ensure brand consistency and messaging that best represents the partner and our organization
  • Lead efforts to scale marketing activities for successful implementation within a federated model
  • Support marketing for regional team, and participate in state, regional, and national staff meetings and conferences 

Contribute to annual corporate partnership revenue goals

  • Contribute to achievement of regional revenue goal of $10M+ and total corporate and cause revenue goal, by supporting partnership strategy planning and renewals/upgrades for existing partners, and supporting new business solicitations as assigned
  • Lead with #OneTeam approach and work effectively with cross-functional teams including Resource Development, Youth Development, Marketing & Communications, Field Operations, Legal, local Clubs, etc.
  • Stay updated on marketing, business, economic and corporate social responsibility trends

Lead with #OneTeam approach to support partnership stewardship, growth and engagement

  • Support annual business plans and ongoing analysis and performance tracking for partnerships, with an emphasis on marketing initiatives and a view on overall health and growth
  • Collaborate with partnership team to deliver a customized and dynamic stewardship plan that adds value and deepens the partner relationship
  • Take a proactive approach, leading with a service-oriented mindset, bringing solutions to overcome hurdles that may prevent success and display a relentless commitment to flawless execution and achievement
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to deepen relationships with partners via engagement of partner channels, strategies that extend the relationship and pursuit of new opportunities
  • Demonstrates BGCA mission-driven values of integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and excellence
  • Participates in additional projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Adheres to organizational policies and procedures as described in BGCA’s Employee Handbook, Ethics Policy and elsewhere

 SUPERVISION EXERCISED

  • Expected to lead bodies of work with integrated teams (social, digital, creative, content, brand, and agencies) – this would require comfort and experience managing up, down and across the organization

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations and/or similar degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience on account teams within an agency setting considered a plus
  • Proven experience managing integrated marketing plans and producing high quality execution, with demonstrated proficiency in public relations, content/storytelling and digital/social media.
  • Demonstrated success working closely with clients, cross-functional staff and vendors to achieve shared goals
  • Able to build relationships and steward key stakeholders to achieve business results
  • Able to manage-through complex or ambiguous issues among various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, timelines and budgets while maintaining a professional demeanor and commitment to excellent, detail-oriented work
  • Advanced capabilities of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Normal internal working environment.
  • Approximately 25% travel (can be up to 3-5 days or more in a month, including weekends, depending upon scheduling requirements).
  • The individual selected for this position must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to navigate areas of the country by using electric direction methods.
  • Ability to travel by car, airplane or other modes of transportation required.
