Overview

Boys & Girls Clubs of America is a national leader in youth development, supporting a powerful network of more than 5,000 local Clubs serving millions of young people each year. We exist to amplify the strengths of communities, elevate the expertise of youth-serving professionals, and invest in the boundless potential of the next generation.

As a federated organization, our impact depends on our ability to scale what works, thoughtfully, equitably, and in partnership with the Movement. Technology is a critical enabler of that mission. With innovation at our core and equity as our compass, we are building modern platforms and capabilities that allow Clubs to focus on what matters most: creating safe, empowering spaces where youth can thrive.

About the Role

The Director of Product Groups sits at the apex of BGCA’s digital transformation, defining what transformation means in practice, and how it is delivered at scale across the Movement.

This role is responsible for shaping and delivering technology-based business capabilities that power BGCA nationally and locally. The Director leads product strategy, execution, and adoption across a portfolio of platforms and applications used by both National Office and Club staff, with Salesforce as a central, mission-critical system.

As BGCA’s Salesforce subject matter expert, this leader sets the vision for how the platform is architected, governed, and evolved, ensuring solutions are scalable across a federated model, aligned to organizational priorities, and designed to drive real-world adoption. This role balances entrepreneurial thinking with operational rigor, translating strategy into products that are intuitive, trusted, and impactful.  Equally important, this leader is a storyteller with an ability to communicate vision, progress, and impact to technical teams, executive leaders, vendors, and Club stakeholders alike, driving engagement, buy-in, and sustained use.

The Director oversees a growing product team and works in close partnership with internal stakeholders and third-party partners to deliver platforms that strengthen the Movement today and position it for the future.

Why This Role Matters

This is not a traditional IT or product role. It is a national level and movement focused leadership role.

The Director of Product Groups defines how digital transformation shows up for thousands of Clubs, how tools are adopted, how data flows, how systems support staff instead of slowing them down, and how innovation scales without losing local relevance.

Success in this role means:

  • Translating enterprise strategy into practical, adoptable solutions for Clubs and internal teams
  • Building trust in platforms through thoughtful design, governance, and communication
  • Enabling staff at every level to do their best work through modern, intuitive systems
  • Creating a shared product vision that aligns national strategy with local impact

The work here directly supports BGCA’s ability to grow, adapt, and serve youth more effectively now and for generations to come.
