About the Role

We are seeking a Managing Director, Fundraising Strategy & Operations to lead the strategy, systems, and operational infrastructure that powers fundraising performance across the organization.

Reporting to the VP, Foundations & Resource Development Operations, this role serves as a central leader across Resource Development. You will align teams to a unified strategy, build scalable processes, and ensure consistent performance through strong data, systems, and execution.

This is a highly visible role that partners closely with senior leadership to translate strategy into action and enable enterprise-wide revenue growth.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and execution of Resource Development’s operating model, ensuring alignment across Foundations, Individual Giving, and Corporate Partnerships
  • Oversee fundraising systems, data infrastructure, and CRM strategy to drive efficiency and frontline effectiveness
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and revenue performance tracking in partnership with Finance and External Relations Operations
  • Build and scale a modern prospect research and pipeline strategy, leveraging data and predictive insights
  • Establish portfolio management standards and performance analytics to improve visibility into revenue, risks, and opportunities
  • Deliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, and board materials that inform strategic decisions
  • Optimize processes, policies, and workflows to improve consistency and operational effectiveness
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Strategy & Operations team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Who You Are

Experience & Background                                                            

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, business transformation, or related fields
  • Proven experience leading leaders and influencing across complex, matrixed organizations
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments is a plus

  • Improving efficiency, data integrity, and frontline effectiveness through systems and process optimization

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $140,104 to $189,075. BGCA takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training and experience, as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
