Location- Atlanta, Ga (In office Tuesday & Wednesday) WFH Monday, Thursday & Friday

Duration- June 2nd/August 5th 

Compensation- $17.00/hr (20-40hrs/wk)

 

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the National Director, Strategy Execution, this position will be responsible for providing administrative support and assisting the President’s Office with special projects and initiatives related to the adoption and alignment of the Boys & Girls Club Movement’s shared strategic direction. This position will require the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Project Objectives:

Outline the specific goals and objectives of the project. What does the intern aim to achieve by completing this project?

 

  1. Objective 1: Managing key documents and files through maintain the organization’s intranet and digitizing and managing historical documents
  2. Objective 2: Supporting research, data analysis and visualization efforts  
  3. Objective 3: Assisting key projects through administrative support,

Project Tasks:
List the specific tasks that need to be completed for the intern to achieve the project objectives.

  1. Task 1: Maintain and update the organization’s intranet, ensuring content is accurate and accessible while working with team members to improve the intranet’s usability and functionality.
  2. Task 2: Scan and digitize historical documents, ensuring high-quality digital reproduction and cataloging digitized documents using appropriate metadata standards.
  3. Task 3: Conduct research and assist in collecting and organizing data from various sources, while conducting basic analysis using tools such as Excel or statistical software; create visualizations (charts, graphs, tables, etc.) to communicate data insights effectively.
  4. Task 4: Provide basic project administration support through the use of Microsoft Office suite, including document creation and management. 

Project Deliverables:
List the tangible outputs or outcomes that will result from the intern completing the project.

  1. Deliverable 1: A comprehensive intranet and catalog of historical documents.
  2. Deliverable 2: Research, data analysis, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making processes.
  3. Deliverable 3: Support of the President’s Office with key projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Education/Major: Candidates must be an incoming junior or senior (undergraduate programs) or a graduate student pursuing a degree in nonprofit administration, business, communications, or a related field.

 

Skills: Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as be detail-oriented; demonstrate high standards of ethics, integrity, and eagerness to learn; and have an interest in working on special events for a non-profit organization. Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills are necessary
