We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to provide hands-on support during the implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and advance key Talent Acquisition priorities. The ideal candidate brings strong Talent Acquisition experience with hands-on ATS implementation, systems and workflow design, reporting and analytics, and instructional design experience to develop practical training, guides, and resources.

 

This temporary role is part of the Human Resources team, working closely with Talent Acquisition and HR partners to support key recruiting and talent priorities. The position is expected to last approximately 8 to 12 weeks and offers compensation of $50 per hour. This is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, with in-office work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and flexibility for additional in-person days based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • ATS Implementation & Launch
  • Serve as a key Talent Acquisition partner throughout implementation, launch, and stabilization of the new ATS, ensuring the system and supporting processes meet the needs of recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates.
  • Partner with HR Systems and the implementation team to translate Talent Acquisition requirements into effective system workflows and processes.
  • Support system configuration, workflow and task automation, integrations, UAT, issue resolution, and launch readiness.
  • Review and improve recruiting processes to maximize efficiency and automation within the new system.
  • Develop recruiting workflows, templates, automated communications, process documentation, and other implementation resources.
  • Build and validate recruiting dashboards, reports, metrics, and data to support ongoing TA analytics and decision-making.
  • Support post-launch adoption, troubleshooting, process refinement, and stabilization.

 

Talent Acquisition Priorities

  • Provide dedicated project capacity to advance key Talent Acquisition priorities and build sustainable tools and resources that strengthen the hiring process and hiring manager experience.
  • Advance and operationalize key TA initiatives, including competency work, the Interview and Scorecard Kit, and Hiring Manager Toolkit.
  • Apply instructional design principles to develop practical training guides, job aids, facilitator materials, templates, process maps, and other resources for recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Develop and support training on recruiting processes, tools, and new ways of working, including live and self-guided learning.
  • Build and organize Talent Acquisition resources within SharePoint/Microsoft 365 to create an accessible and sustainable resource hub for hiring managers and the TA team.
  • Help integrate new tools, competencies, training, and resources into the overall recruiting process to drive consistency and adoption.
  • Support other priority Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives as needed during the assignment.

 

What Success Looks Like

  • By the end of the assignment, this individual will have helped the Talent Acquisition team:
  • Successfully implement, launch, and stabilize the new ATS.
  • Establish efficient, documented recruiting workflows, automation, reporting, and processes.
  • Equip recruiters and hiring managers with practical training, guides, tools, and resources.
  • Advance key TA priorities, including competency work, the Interview and Scorecard Kit, and Hiring Manager Toolkit.
  • Build sustainable Talent Acquisition resources and infrastructure that remain in place beyond the assignment.
  • Maintain forward momentum across Talent Acquisition during a period of transition

Qualifications

Core Competencies

  • Systems & Technology Fluency: Quickly understands HR technology, system functionality, integrations, workflows, and data, and can translate business needs into practical system solutions.
  • Process Design & Continuous Improvement: Able to assess current processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and design streamlined workflows, automation, and tools that improve the recruiting experience.
  • Project & Implementation Management: Effectively manages multiple workstreams, timelines, dependencies, testing, deliverables, and stakeholders to move work from design through implementation and launch.
  • Learning & Instructional Design: Translates complex systems and processes into clear, user-friendly training, guides, job aids, and resources that support understanding, adoption, and sustained use.
  • Collaboration & Execution: Works effectively across Talent Acquisition, HR Systems, vendors, and other stakeholders while independently driving work forward, solving problems, and delivering high-quality results.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Talent Acquisition, recruiting operations, HR technology, or a related HR function.
  • Hands-on experience supporting an ATS implementation, optimization, or significant HR technology implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting systems, workflows, process design, automation, configuration, and UAT.
  • Experience developing recruiting reports, dashboards, metrics, and analytics.
  • Experience developing training materials, user guides, job aids, process documentation, and other learning resources.
  • Experience supporting or delivering systems and/or process training.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with experience managing multiple priorities and deliverables.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate complex processes and technology into clear, practical guidance.
  • Experience with SharePoint/Microsoft 365 preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced implementation environment.

Environmental and Working Conditions

  • This position operates in a professional office and remote work environment and routinely uses standard office equipment and technology.
  • The role requires regular collaboration through virtual and in-person meetings and extended periods working at a computer.
  • This is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, with in-office work required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and flexibility for additional in-person days based on business needs.
